Any reasonable reviewers’ bio should start off by answering two simple questions. Namely, who the hell are you, and why should I trust your opinion?
As you can tell by my title, I’m really just a mom, plain and simple. This begins and ends with my daughter. My personal transition from victim to survivor has always revolved around her. Now, as CEO of Simple Survival, I have a way to extend that mindset outward in the hopes that others can benefit from it.
Keep in mind I’m just an ordinary person. I’m not a cop, I’m not a soldier. I’m not even one of those radically militant survivalist types. I’m just a middle aged woman, with a soft tummy, and an even softer heart. I have a deep love for those who serve in law enforcement but I also recognize that it’s a job I could never do. I started Simple Survival because of the misconception that their gear is provided for them by taxpayer dollars. I wanted to be able to give something back to my brothers and sisters in arms. I wanted to do something to thank them because I know there is not a single one of them that wouldn’t take a bullet to save a life if necessary. I want to make sure that life is never mine, or my daughters.
In the process, I started to try out some of the gear myself and I realized that one doesn’t have work in law enforcement to gain some benefit from tactical gear. There are practical uses for a lot of it, and that’s the opinion that I share. I’m just a simple mom, giving ideas on practical uses for tactical gear.
Again, this evolved into my bloging on survivalism as a whole, so I sometimes do media reviews on anything that might be helpful. Whether it’s movies, magazines, or books – there’s a lot of fiction and non-fiction alike regarding survivalism. I know I’m most certainly not the only one who thinks about these sorts of things.
That said, keep it simple okay? SURVIVE!
